ART DECO DESIGN

ART DECO DESIGN

Art Deco design, also known as style moderne, movement in decorative arts and architecture originated in the 1920s. Subsequently, it flourished as a major style in western parts of Europe and the USA during the 1930s. Art Deco design was one of the most exciting and influential styles of the 20th Century, and it’s far one that still influences the design of today. Some of the main features of this art Deco design style are its sleek, linear, and reflective often rectangular geometric patterns arranged and broken up by curved ornamental elements. Materials usually used in Art deco furnishings are wood, lacquer, marble, and metal. Art-Deco is the best way to complement the various areas of the house, in order to attract a visual interest to the interior. This style enjoys the geometric and bold colors, lending the house an elegant and luxurious feel.
